My clio is for sale as I have a new car!!

Now I'm going to try and detail the car as best I can so don't be put off but remember how bl**dy annoying it is when you go and see a car by the details it's described and it's not what you thought!

1992 Clio 16v, 1 Years MOT (just done), 116k, lots of receipts mot's and recent history (but no service book), leather interior, re-built and modified engine (details below), polished alloys, lowered, K&N induction, Scorpion stainless exhaust, yellow dials.

Engine was rebuilt at 100k miles by the previous owner (his dad had a business doing this). The block has been painted blue and the rocker cover has been polished. I was told it has been gas flowed and had a balanced bottom end (I can't confirm this as I can't see it). The engine was also rebuilt with Piper Cams and adjustable vernier pulleys (which I've seen). The car goes very well and you can certainly feel the cams working (as it comes alive when a normal 16v would tail off). It hardly uses any oil (which would backup the rebuild IMO as these cars tend to use a bit)

I have done a lot of work on the car since we bought it, and replaced a lot of parts (plugs, leads, rotor arm, dizzy cap, wheel bearing, genuine renault clutch cable, etc etc)

Now the car is not perfect but with a bit of TLC could be a great base for someone.

Mechanically..

The exhaust rattles on the front heat sheild on the underside of the car, one of the front wheel bearings is a bit noisey (I replaced 1 but never got round to the other, they are only £20 or so and it passed MOT ok), the auxillary belt (or alternator belt has just started lightly sqealing (£5?), the downpipe heatsheild has started rattling (£ free, with some spannering). Dash oil level gauge has never worked (loose wire somewhere?), oil temp gauge works when it feels like it, pressure gauge works!

The bodywork..

Car looks nice (as you can see from the pics) but I have highlighted the bad bits in the pics. The bonnet has been re-sprayed because of stone chips and the lacquer job isn't the best, the drivers side rear quarter has been re-sprayed (to repair the usual 16v arch rust, but it is noticeable it's been sprayed, paint is good but a couple of tiny imperfections in the lacquer again), passenger side arch is bubbling (3 bubbles which aren't through but I think the paint is original) Other than that it's usual 13 year old car stuff, few car park dents and along the drivers side sill it's a bit tired (see pic, but this would be easy to clean up)

I also have the std rear spoiler, some new genuine renault fog lights and some new rear discs to go with the car.

I'm not looking to mess around selling it forever so if anyone wants to make

me an offer then go for it!
