Anything available for oils that F7R's like? 10w40 semi synth....

The 5w-40 full synthetic is an upgrade over the 10w-40 semi, firstly it's thinner when cold giving better cold start protection and secondly, it's full synthetic so will give better all round protection and last longer

nope, F7R's use 5w40 at an alarming rate, they just dont like it in mine and lots of other people experience

That doesn't make sense to me. When hot, a 5w-40 and 10w-40 are as thick as each other, so the viscosity should make no difference. Synthetic oils burn off at a slower rate than mineral based oils, so I can't see why they would consume a 5w-40 synthetic quickly.

Cheers

didn't make a lot of sense to me either by using just theory, but it's consistent

Why do my tappets sound really loud with 5w-40? REALLY loud? 10w seems better.

When hot or when cold or all the time? And what 5w-40 have you used?

Cheers
