I've got a chance to buy a high mileage Williams 2.

Its a 1995 M plate, with 145k miles. No real service history, just a couple of minor bills, but recent cambelt and clutch and 2 new front tyres, nothing else major been done.

The interior is in good condition, engine runs well, car drives as it should, no noticable differance to my Williams with 110k on it.

The bodywork is starting to give way to the brown stuff, with rust around the lips on both rear arches, and bottom of boot lid. Few very minor scratches/stone chips as the general mileage would reflect, no major dents or big scratches though.

Would have full Mot on it. If i buy it, it will be to sell on as im currently offering mine for sale, and definatly have no need for two Williams.

So, what would this be worth?? All ideas appreciated!

Cheers

I was thinking that about £1795 would be a good price, for an average condition ready to go Willy 2?

Interesting, probably the site which is used by more Clio Williams owners than any other site on the net, yet no one, apart from one individual who pm'd me, has any opinion on what this is worth

I would have said nearer 2 grand myself. Put it in for £2300 or something like that?

I'd say around 2 grand, but then again I only own one, don't buy and sell them for aliving, MatBrown will be the man for that he's bought and sold a few in his time I'd imagine 8)

mate it's still early... give us a chance... lol

i'd say it depends on the car, if the engine is nice a quick and doesn't feel tired and bodywork is not too bad it could be worth going for. my main concern would be the rust tho, depends how bad it is and cutting, welding and then spraying is an expensive game... parts and labour can be had cheap though if you know the right people.

at the end of the day it is worth what someone will pay for it - I paid 4K for my high milage - she was in really good nick and runs like a dream - I was looking at spending twice that on something Jap so 4K was cheap as chips - I've not regretted it at any time since and would pay the same again- the garage I bought if from are performance specialists and have looked after me brilliantly ever since- that alone has been worth the extra cost.

id say its about the 2-2.5 k mark tbh.

sounds alrite apart from the rust..that is the main worry with these cars, mechanics can be sorted fairly easily, but bodywork can cost a fortune for good work
