The 2.0 8v conversion ahs taken another sep closer, got a decent price on an engine, just need to find somewhere to store it and work on it.

Few questions, presume the loom will be the same, seeing as its just the bottem end.

1.8 - 2.0 conversion, will i requre a 2.0 fuel pump, or will the 1.8 one cope?

Will i need the 2.0 ecu, or can i run mine long enough to take ti to take a custom mapping session, bear in mind i'll be fitting cams and other toys ;) at the same time

Why not get a Williams or 1.8 16V engine instead?
Pumps on the Williams and 1.8 16V are the same as far s I know and are good for 270hp so I wouldn't worry.
Why not get a 1.8 or .0 then run one of those cup rcing chips peple sell on Ebay I spoke to an owers who's just chipped his 1.8 and he loved it well worthwhile acording to him.

I'm not getting a 16v, becaue A) no one has done a 2.0 8v conversion before, and B) a 2.0 8v looks the same as a 1.8 8v....and i'm only 19.

If its mapped its gonan be done properly, i just want somethign i can run it on for a few weeks, maybe to get some cash together for the mapping, or just enough to drive it to where ever i decided on getting it mapped, possibly a few hunfred miles away
