Will the front struts from a 172/182 fit on a Williams?

Are you fitting the hubs from a 172 too?
If not you will need to take some material off the Willy hub.

Hmm... No... That was not the plan.
I am looking into new suspension.

I need good race suspension and it seems there are more choices for the later models Clio (obviously) :?
Thats way i was looking into 172/182 fitment.
But to much work involved in machining the hubs i guess.

Currently i am running Leda suspension.
Only adjustable in bound/hight.
I have been very pleased with it - never had an issue.
Might just want to try something different though.

I have a few options at the moment:
- Get the Ledas refurbished and probably revalved (definately re-valved at the rear) - cheapest option by far i guess.
- Get AST's for a 172 (rally version - and have these rebuilt to track spec) - probably not cheap!
- H&R Coilovers "Race" configuration - not adjustable - not cheap!
- H&R/Bilstein Grp. A suspension - adjustable - would need to rob a bank!
- Contact Proflex a have struts custom made - again would need to rob a bank

Opinions?

Not hard to just machine a bit from the Willy hubs.

Beanimoo has a remote reservoir setup with his LEDA's I think. Cant remember any more. Could ask him?

Interesting :-)
It seems like "upgrades" are available on their website - probably remote reservoir setup

Very interesting... TOP STUFF = TOP MONEY! :D
It seems like they only do rally and new model cars.
It might be to expensive to have something made just for my old shed of a car..... :(

How do the willy hubs need maching? The size of the bolt holes? Aren't the 172/182 strut mounts wider apart than the williams strut mounting on the hubs?
