Hi All,

Seen several references to shortened rads on the site. I have a standardish 1.8 16v running twin webber carbs, which currently suck in hot air off the standard rad.

Bearing in mind the car is not a daily driver (occasional track day mostly) and is not running big modifications, what would be my most reliable/cheapish/easily fitted option?

(Think I saw reference to an Audi 80 rad by Evogone???)

Any replies gratefully received !

What about the standard fan? Would I have to replace that with something else? (sorry if thats a dumb question!!!)

Thanks

I used a mk2 16v golf gti radiator turned upside down as it runs a thicker core than the santana one

i used a rad off another renault model iirc

use a site like this to find one with the right dimensions and pipework

then i went to the scrappy and found a fan off a fiat, couple of universal fan fixings like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Slim-Line-Radiator-Rad-Fan-Fixings-Fan-mounting-Kit_W0QQitemZ310240683598QQcmdZViewItem?rvr_id=206 773237904&rvr_id=206773237904&cguid=59202d6512c0a0a9f653ec53ff4a4cc7

and the jobs a good 'un

hasn't failed me.........yet
