hi guys,

got my car back from the insrance garage, has new wishbones and wing and wheel courtesy of fab.

Anyway, trackin is still not quite right. I think this is because I have different tyres on each side at the front with very uneven wear....could this be right?

anyway, getting new tyres this week.

the main issue is on turning left i get a bad vibration through the steering. any ideas what this could be?

could it be a drive shaft or wheel bearing?

thanks

Do you a get a noise with the vibration aswell?

I'd check they've fitted the right parts and fitted them correctly. Ensure pinch bolt is done up on the stub axle, ARB is bolted on correctly, subframe bolts done up tight. Don't think other stuff should have been touched.

Could be CV joint. Check wheel bolts as well.

It could be the tyre is fouling the arch too.

The odd tyre wont help tracking, but dont worry about that until new tyres are fitted.

yes, there is a rumbling noise. This actually all started after a clutch change.

Since new wishbones have gone on it is more pronounced at lower speeds.

It is just not very reassuring!

I did have a look before underneath and all looks ok.

Could it be not enough gearbox oil?

If there is not enough gearbox oil the noise will go if you coast along in no gear
