I checked in France in Dieppe and it's out of stock. If you find them, they are just an old stock and once they are gone it's for good.

It's more complicated this way. It's how Renault would do it.

I'm used to check every thing twice. :) It's not that I don't belive you Robi, you know that, it just frustrates me that I can't properly rebuild an engine. Why there's always something wrong with Renault?! :headbutt: Even if you want to make things properly.
Looks like I will have to call every Renault dealer in Slovenia, if they have any bearing of this kind? If not, bye bye, rebuilded F7R, because I'm not going to put old bearing in it.

If it turns out that they are no longer stocked (of which I'm certain), could we make a petition and send it to Renault UK and ask them if they can make another run. I know guys in France would join in too, because stock ran out in France about a year or two ago...

if this is the 2 pressed in bearing shells for the oil pump shaft, then i have. If the oil pressure has dropped enough to damage crank bearings then they'll be ruined too

WOW! According to C16V web based dialogys first one should be around £5 and second around £7. Crap. :?

When I checked the price a month or so ago, it was about 35€ for both of them. That's about 29 pounds. For me 190€ is a bit steep for two bearings. Are these original parts?

@sideways danny: Do you have a set just for yourself or you can supply them? What's your price?

schakal
17-01-2011, 11:17
yes genuine parts .
i guess they get expensive when they dont exist :D

AFAIK 922 is still available from Renault. Robi and me did a run last year regarding these bearings.
Schakal, where could you get the 923 bearing from?

I thought about getting made a few sets, but I would need exact dimensions. It would be wise to make them oversize, as oil pump shaft also gets scored in it's life time...

@schakal: Can you get the name of company who originally makes/was making this bearings? If there would be any chance of getting them directly from them?

robi1000

Yanoo, neither were available officially. I just found some old stock.

It's belt driven. That's the reason why this thread even exists. If it was chain driven like Megane F7R 714 is there wouldn't be this kind of problem.

But I think I found a solution for this!
