Pulled in to BP garage yesterday on the way home from work as I was on fumes. Thought I may as well just get normal unleaded as the engine is ****ed anyway. I was astounded to see the price: £1.30 a litre!!!

****ing daylight robbery.

Think yourself lucky if you don't heat your house with the stuff too! Domestic heating oil price has gone from around 40p a litre to over 70p in a matter of weeks! That's added £750 to the cost of a fill of my tank!

That's a joke.

Sorry to say that the ever increasing cost of living in the UK is making me consider leaving the country, that and the fact its a depressing shit hole at the best of times anyway...

not necessarily. there are parties out there that i reckon WOULD make a diff. but they are deemed too un pc or just plain racist. when they get into power, and they will eventually, and stop funding all the freeloading immigrants and their families they will be left with billions they arent paying in benefits so will be able to leave the huge price hikes on evrything alone.

I'll bet anything you like that even if any of those parties got into power they'd still screw over the easy money target...the motorist

It's not just petrol, everything has gone up. My train fare has gone up to £7 a day now  it's a joke tbh.

same story over here in this shit hole. fuel prices gone through the roof and all this government wants to do is convince you to buy and drive a fookin electric car that does 40mph and you have to stop (or it will stop itself) and charge it every hour which takes about 20 minutes or so to do. And they call that progress?

We do have a website going over here called pumps.ie which shows the cheapest fuel stations and it's kept up to date every day. Not sure if you lads have something similar going in the UK? I heard your vat rate has gone up to 20% so that may have something to do with the fuel prices going up?
