New Battery

Needing a new battery for the willy, halfords, varta, yuasa, bosch?
Any experience/reviews?

And the recommended AH level.

I'm not keen on Bosch stuffs, I'd rather buy Varta or Exide. Use at least 50Ah battery for daily use. 55-65 Ah is suggested. Check the dimension of the battery, there is no enough room for bigger battery.

id personnally fit the one spec for the diesel. high amps and better cranking power.

All these high cranking amps e.t.c arent genuinely worth it IMO. My battery was £35 of ebay, and it cranks as fast as the expensive battery in my mums diesel passat.

The key is to make sure the earths are in tip top conidition, or add an additional dedicated earth for startermotor.

I just ordered a 063 varta silver dynamic, from tayna.co.uk £63 delivered! nearly same AH and better cold crank than my old 065 calcium and 1.5 kilos lighter. Loads cheaper than halfords.
