Where does your crankcase breather go to after the catch tank? There's another pipe coming off it. Or is it another breather off the engine ?

And how come your injectors are in the head as per OE but the other set up has them in the manifold?

Is it just user preference? I see your manifold has the blanks where you could put them?

The 2nd breather goes under the car.

The injectors are the way they are due to the builder leaving them OE spec. They can be changed, and may well be when I get the parts together. The current engine spec means there is very little (if any) point other than cosmetic in changing them. My engine spec does not benefit from high revs, which is where injectors further from the head make the most benefit.

I also read somewhere that due to the way fuel behaves in cold starts, it may be a better option for less hassle with cold starting. This is a daily driver.

I think I've got a piece of your plastics in my garage left over from moving all your stuff. The piece that goes in the rocker cover with the ht lead location channels. I'll bring it to SRR for you

Cheers Danny. Guess I'd better sort out hiring a tow car/van and get my butt down there then!

bugger the turbo boys, N/A is the way

Gaz mentioned making an ITB video with all the cars as its highly unlikely they will all be together in one place again!

Yea, will be quite unusual to have that may ITB Clio's.

Stevie B, could you take an aerial shot with the air filter off?

Im about to switch to that manifold (Well MR23 F4R equivalent), from the current Chadil one i have.

However it is a squeeze as it is, and i reckon that manifold is another centremetre or so longer, and i will then have to run run DCOE to SF adaptors like yourself.

Think im going to have to brace myself for another blow as ill need more shalow air filter :(

Sure - as luck would have it we unbolted the trumpets to get the filter off at the RR yesterday and I have not yet had a chance to unbolt them again to put it back on (it only gained 3 bhp with it off so I'll be sticking it back on) so I will definitely get some pics for you before I do that.

Brilliant thanks very much! I take it you are running 40mm trumpets? In which case you will be running 99% identical induction setup to me.

A photo showing clearly whereabout the trumpet ends sit in relation to the headlamp metal panel / bit where you bolt the slam panel on (just so i can gauge a refernce point).

Btw congrats on the nice results 170ft lbs is monsterous!

Hmm obviously you know your car better than me i read the build thread on Ktec Blog, and they used "Hi Torque" cams, which are definately they 208's (i used to have a aset of these too).

The charactersitics of torque and power output from your engine would be bob on for the 208's imo.

No, all I know is what I told them to fit and paid for - I have only had it back a matter of weeks (after it was gone 11 months to have an engine installed) and dismantling it to check their work was not high on my agenda. Unfortunately this seems to mean little when it comes to dealing with Andy... I have just had the cover off after what you mentioned and you were spot on... 208s in there. So, other than feeling royally screwed over yet again would you suggest it is worth getting them to put the 213s in as specced, and get it remapped or is there realistically little benefit likely to be gained by kicking off to get what I asked for and I'll just leave it on the 208s?

:O that shsocking stevieB, however i would keep the 208's, its giving you great torque right where you need it. FOr the extra outlay of swapping cams an another remap, its not worth it as you wont gain any mor torque all you will do is put peak torque a few hundred extra revs up the range.

Your torque spread is superb. I would leave those cams in there in all honesty! Forget the hp figure 8)

Every time I see these photos I want ITB's more and more ...

How much do K-TEC charge for an ITB set up these days?

you can get it done elsewhere for cheaper, if you ring APD or 519Automotive your be looking at alot less.

Looking at around £3k, but that varies dependant on what flywheel/clutch you have fitted currently, and if you source a megane/172 fly/clutch setup yourself or want it supplied and fitted, what air-filter or airbox setup you want, wasted spark coilpack conversion or keep the dizzy......the list of options is long

I dont do fixed prices on this kind of thing because everyone wants something slightly different and I'd rather tailor every job to the customer.
