Yes, the 3600 is fine for Calcium ones - I have a Halfords Calcium battery in mine. The XS4003 is a slightly better spec charger than the XS3600, but you don't really need it.

Is it one of the 'Red Top' racing batteries? They are Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) batteries and the Cteks charge those fine - I have AGMs on the track Clio and kart that I use mine with regularly.

well this is interesting just had a spare battery on charge all night using the ctek and put it on the car and the battery did **** all??? tested with my battery tester and read fully charged. all that happened when fitted to the car was all my indicator lights came on and the radio flashed on and off turned key and nothing???

Before I left the batteries on the conditioner this was pretty much what used to happen to me. The battery went flat over the winter and then when you charge it up it reads 12+ volts but doesn't have the cranking current necessary to start the car. Unfortunately the charger is unable to save them once they get to this stage, but if you leave the replacement on a conditioner from now on you should not have similar problems in the future - I know I used to get a battery or two failing per year and for the past few years, using conditioners in the months I am not using the cars, I have not had any problems since.

Just leaving a bit of feedback for one of these.....I tried mine out yesterday and completely revived my dead battery back to life, very easy to use too. I recommend to anyone who doesn't use their car often, especially with the cold weather we have been having. I have ordered the cigarette lighter adaptor too so will leave it connected up over the winter. Good stuff!

It's a really good product. I've had one of these for a number of years. It's very simple to use and you can just leave it attached until you want to use your battery.
