Hey Guys,

It looks like i have now sold my Cup, after a very very emotional 15 months of ownership. I know i will regret selling her, but sometimes needs must.

I am looking at buying a very very nice Williams 2 to replace her, maybe one of the nicest in the country.

What are they like as a daily driver, are they that unreliable? What are availability of parts like?

I am hoping i may only have to run it on a day to day basis in the next 6 months or so tbh, as i am very hopeful that i will get a company car to drive to and from work/winter!

I have been using my Williams 2 as a daily driver for the past 3.5 years and the reliability is very good IMO. Only not started a few times but that was problems with the alternator.... which i later found out that the new one fitted was faulty!

I am in the process of re-newing all the suspension parts, all still available, as is most other parts :)

Renault mate, not going to be cheap I know. Springs are £90 each alone.

Which parts are you replacing?

Just use 172 Cup springs they are virtually the same and half the price

Looked at doin the same. Seems to be around £350 to do the front, without any springs. That's all from Renault aswell. I'll dig out the email if you want to know the breakdown of prices?

Can't really comment about the Williams being a daily driver, as mine is only used occasionally. The main thing I guess is just making sure it has a good service history and that the rust is sorted!

Parts are fairly cheap. Even comparing tyre costs to the 182, I was quite suprised just how cheap the Williams is for stuff like that.
