hi guys bit of a problem my iv just changed a few things on car ie timin belt gearbox water pump clutch everthing went well anyway..
the car is back up and running drives bang on everthin ok apart from rpm drive it normal all bang on!! plant it revs sticking at 1500 rpm iv checked a few things everythin ok turn the car off and back on its back to normal my only last option is the tps how can i find out if this is the problem if i cant without changing it as any1 got 1 for williams
any help be appreciated cheers guyzzz

Have a clean up around the throttle body and butterfly springs

P.s full stops are your friend :wink:

IIRC there is a cable that is attached to the speedo cable at the rear of the clocks that can sometimes come loose causing this problem.

I know the previous owner of mine had a similar issue and re-terminated this and it has never occurred again.

You can check the tps signal with a volt meter

Check voltage when open and closed and see if it changes smoothly

iv cleaned the icv throttle body and butterfly springs rpm still sticking think im gunna have try tps sensor having no luck doin all this cleaning lol anybody have 1 for sale
