I have again some gear linkage metal bushes. Metal bush replaces the OEM bush and rubber spacer and reduces the play in the gear linkage. It's designed for the threaded clevis bar:

Please note, this metal bush works perfectly with the threaded clevis bar only (drilled clevis bar needs different clearance). Threaded one with the metal bush:

This type was fitted into Clio Mk1 Phase 2 and Phase 3, Clio Mk2 Phase 1 and Phase 2. Before order please check your clevis bar!

Price: £2 (shortened bolt is included) + £4 postage (recorded mail)

perfectly with the threaded clevis bar only (drilled clevis bar needs different clearance).

I dont understand the differents

In some cases, the upper plain surface of the drilled clevis bar is bent or could be deformed after the bolt is tightened. The threaded plate reinforces the upper plain surface of the threaded clevis bar therefore this area cannot twist. Because this bush uses very-very small clearance (the 'barrel' of the bush is 0.05 mm taller than the small gear linkage), a bent / deformed upper surface could cause difficult shift. I have other metal bush for drilled clevis bar, that's taller.

Great! :)

Coops: some Clio 182 and all Clio Mk2 Phase 3 use different selector linkage. The small linkage end is plastic covered and there is no clevis bar in these cars. Renault often changed this joint, I know 5 different versions. It may be that I don't know all types. That's why I wrote everybody must check the clevis bar before order.

indeed,i've never seen one like it before!

your bush does same job and probs will last longer!

combined with short shift lever and 'clevis' bar is it? feels beautiful on the turbo :-) if only the renault gearboxes could stand it all for longer :-(

Yanoo_

This metal bush is combined with OEM small link bar. But I also use metal bush with my short shift link bar / quickshift.

Heeeey Yanoo, was under my car last night, waggling my gear selector and noticing how much play it in the clevis bar bolt joint. I thought to myself: 'Hmm, that sucks, I need something in my life to sort that out, fast.'

I have a drilled clevis bar!!

I have fitted mine and used it for a few days. My shift was already precise with the shortshift, but this is now ZERO play. In fact I think it took a little bedding in as at first I could not get reverse gear, maybe some road crap got in the linkage. Seems ok now!

Thanks Yanoo.
