Me rad fan stopped working and so i tested the fan by bridging the switch connector (switch meaning the yoke stuck in the rad). The fan worked. This part i get.

So where the hell does the sensor play a part in the fan not coming on? Because as far as I can tell it's the SWITCH that triggers the fan when the car is on.

Have i got it wrong?

Thanks!

Before you lads decide to go out and spend some crazy dosh on fancy coolant take a look at whats inside your thermostat housing.

closing this one off lads. Was the switch. Done the thermo while i was at it.

All back together now..clutch is wonderful so are the tappets..belts are a little whiney but i will wait a few miles to see if they get quieter .
6 weeks of labour..and most of it spent cleaning engine parts! But i loved every minute of it.

see you and thanks.
