no fuel pump run

hope someone can help... after many months of rebuilding my williams, yesterday was the big day when the battery went in and the key was turned for the first time. Engine was turning great, but no sign of firing up. Petrol gauge empty light was on so I put £10 of petrol in, tried again but fuel empty light was still on and there is no noise to say the fuel pump is running. Any pointers or ideas would be much appreciated.

Hi. check the relays in the box beside the battery. the fuel pump is one of them and it should click when the ignition is switched on.
if you do a quick search you should be able to find some pump trouble-shooting tips.

Check all your earths.
