Same as R19, not same as Williams.

^^ So if it uses same subframe as 19 16v, does this mean the ARB will mount correctly to a 16v subframe with 172 widetrack...

Yes...

You can also use 172 ARB.

are you having problems with the ends of the arb clamping
on the wishbones ?

i am using a megane scenic (1.6) subframe with a megane arb
on r9 wishbones and found out the arb is a wee shorter and not
going into the outer arb bush fully .
ordered a 19 16v arb now ,i am hoping thats a little longer
and will sort the problem .

I think R19 16V ARB won't be any different to one that you're using now.

i had a spare 19 arb ,i remember it being a little longer at the ends
compared to the megane one but might be wrong :?
will let you know soon though :D

^^Well if you had Ph2 R19 ARB it's the same as Ph2 R19 16V, I'm not quite sure on Ph1 tho.

one i had was of a ph2 16v ,but i dont think there is any difference
between phases to be honest .

I think they are, but it's possible that between Ph2 and Ph1 16V there isn't any differences.

cant use a 172 arb, wont fit as its got a big loop in it to clear 172 exhaust

I'm sure that the person who has fitted the 20v lump in the White valver had used a 172 arb

I heard someone on Cliosport has fitted 172 ARB on Mk1. It fits.

my 19 arb has arrived today , its exactly the same as
the renault 9 gtx arb i got here ,which again is the same as
the megane one i used on the car .

still does not make any sense as to why my anti roll bar wont
fill the outer bushes all the way in relation to where they get clamped
on the wishbone though

Which R19 ARB did you get? Ph1 16V?
I think Megane Coupe 2.0 16V ARB must be a little wider as its front track is wider than R19/other Meganes track. There are some things that I still can figure out with this widetrack thing. :?
Looks like I again discovered something new, that is Megane Coupe 2.0 16V must have wider subframe, because it has 1450mm wide front track(carfolio link: http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=83083). Wishbones are the same as R19 and other Meganes so it must be subframe which is wider. So I'm taking back what I written up before(I thought extra lenght on Megane 2.0 16V front track is from wishbones, but its not). If you look at Megane Cabrio (carfolio link: http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=32153) it has 1426mm wide front track like R19 so probably same subframe and ARB. I think your best and last bet is Megane 2.0 16V ARB which is BTW 25mm thick.
I just hope that track width data isn't in some way wheel offset related because then we're screwed. :?
I hope you get this thing sorted mate!
