Has anyone ordered or obtained a new OEM subframe from Renault over the past couple of years?

If so, what colour was it? Some are grey and some are black I understand...

If it was black, how heavily will the originality police come down on me putting it on a Williams 1??

I want something that is going too last and not show signs of damage, if it is black and I get it sprayed grey it will get damaged over time anyway...

grey subframes = williams 1 & 2's

Black subframes = 3's

Go for powdercoating it's much tougher and cheaper than spraying. They also powder prime it to prevent rust

how much to powdercoat a subframe? would they be able to get the correct colour match (Ford polar grey I believe...)

I think I payed about £80 / £90 for my subframe to be shot blasted and powder primed then powder coat finish in my preferred colour. That was metal magic in Barnsley. Iv had a lot of stuff done there it's always a quality job

This.

Think mine was £330 delivered.

Was epic afterwards with it on mind - replacing the bushed and this was one of the best things that willy ever had (besides me  )
