how did you dye them?

I would like to do that.

Need my door bins doing too. They are a right state!

Yea that restorer stuff of yours is good. The dye we used is damn expensive though, was about £27.

where was the dye from?

27 not too bad if it looks good!

Think you can get it a bit cheaper, cant remember!!

Its good stuff but you need to practice applying it so you get the consistency right and not cause it to leave streak marks.

Is this long lasting?

The dye is yea, and unlike painting, it wont chip off or peel.

Just seen the results of someone trying something I've heard about years ago. Never actually known anyone that's tried it 'til now.

Basically, using a paint stripping type heat gun, you (carefully) heat the plastic up. Taks some practise apparently but looks like it gives good results:

Yep will work, dont know how but it brings bumpers back, be careful with the heat though

Well, what happens with plastic over time is the outer layer oxidises. Applying heat to plastic effectively melts that outer layer again expunging the oxidised material. Can damage the plastic and surrounding area so be careful.

I'd just use dye for that tbh. but up to you. The advantage of dye vs paint is dye requires a lot less preperation to apply and it dries after 20 mins or so unlike paint, and you dont need any plastic primer etc...

Now this might sound weird but, Smooth peanut butter is suppose to clean plastic trim.
