Could anyone advise me on what my options might be for replacing my front springs without lowering the car from standard?

Just popped to my local Renault wallet draining agent who told me that a pair of genuine Renault items would set me back £199 for the springs alone!!!

Going to post in the wanted section too, but was wondering if anyone else has had to replace theirs and used anything else. Are springs off 1.8 16v compatible? Or perhaps 172 springs?

Also I was told a lot of confusing stuff about dots on the springs what identify the spring rates etc. As far as I could remember my springs had 2 white dots, but the dots are no longer visible so can anyone tell me if I am correct or mistaken about this?

Thanks Williams Geniuses! :D

172cup springs will fit ok,theyll lower the car around 5mm though but thats not a lot tbh

172 springs are Williams ones too.

So get some from a cup or 172 and it'll save you some cash.

Two white dots is correct, they are the same as found on the 1.8 16v and the 172. 172 cup springs can be fitted for a slightly lower ride height.

Thanks Guy's really helpful, while I was out I got a price for 1.8 16v springs to. They were £28 each, and £98 each for Williams ones! Crazy how much they mark parts up for 'Limited Edition' cars.

Morning all.

Ive just joined the club and bought myself a Willams 2 Dimma. In need of some TLC in places cosmetically, partly due to to the stupid amount it has been lowered. Whats the bestWilliams suspension setup and where would you recommend to get it from.

Look forward to catching up with you all.

Were they genuine ones?
As i can't see the white marks and they seem to be a coil short.
