It's been a while since I've last used my baby .. yesterday I thought I'd give her a wash and took her out for a ride. Since I've been working on the clio I have no time left for her. Thought I'd share a couple of shots with you..

Needs it tho as its not running its standard 1.4 .. i've just put in a volvo 480 engine. MUCHHHH more reliable! Same engine block as the 16V too :D

Same 'F' type engine as the ones running in our clios .. volvo used to buy this engine off Renault and use it on the 480 turbo. Machined off the 'VOLVO' on the intake tho .. didn't seem appropriate to leave 'VOLVO' showing :lol:

running 1bar boost .. producing about 200 ponies

I havent had it rolling road since rebuild but im hoping for 170bhp + 8)

Are you still running std ecu?......cause they reckon theyre crap!

yepp still running std ECU tho the ignition one is modified (they come with 2 units - fuel & ignition) .. as std they come very restricted, this ones' been remapped and physically modified to give about an extra 35bhp.

cheers .. I'm glad you all like it :) i'm very happy & satisfied how it came out considering i've done everything by myself, even the paint work.

ohhhh and regarding the climate .. well its nice & everything, but its too bloody hot !!!! 2 days ago had temp risen to 38 degrees :shock:

not the same block, 16v heads don't fit on the 8v engine blocks.
It has the same block as a F3R 1721cc only difference is that the pistons has a bigger "bowl" since there is no combustion chamber in the head, CR is 8,1:1 instead of 9,5:1

yes what i meant was its of the same type (F) unlike the original GTT engine which is a C type..
