Cmon!!!!!!
i am waiting on someone getting back to me on a set of DS2500's, if they arent the right money i will have a set of these.
What discs would be ok to run with these without chewing the discs up in minimal mileage?
Laine_16v

has anyone any feedback on these pads yet ?
Laine_16v

Should have next week hopefully, still waiting to get my car back to fit them!
fitment is a breeze although there is no anti-rattle clip on them. I sort of took the ones off of my old pads and used them. As for performance..dont know yet
never spotted no anti rattle clip, least the old ones fit!
Come on fab - let me know how good they are !!!!!
lol northy..the car is sitting in the garage with no number plates on it so currently unkkknown:lol: only place it's good for is a track and I will show you a thing or two when i get there:P again
Have been using mine over the last week or so... Can't really comment on their performance as the weather here in Portugal is terrible, but yes they rattle a lot... I don't really mind it though...
I can only say they they seem to work well from cold (well, 13º C is cold for portuguese standards :P ) and they start to squeal just a little bit when they get up to temperature.
Oh, and they give better pedal feel and are MUCH easier to modulate than my previous Mintex 1144.
cheers Joao - might be worth sticking some anti rattle clips in from your old pads as fab says

Going to be putting mine in tommorow then followed by a thorough pasteing on some country roads :) Will report back tommorow.
^ looking forward to your feedback 8)
on my "brisk" outing last week..first impressions as JoaoC, good from cold.

Right i fitted the pads this morning, ive never had performance brakes on a valver so this was new territory.
I have the 285mm Ktec disc conversion on standard callipers using £10 mintex brake pads, it worked fine no quarms.
SO anything back to the RC5's...
I didnt changing over the anti rattle clips from old pads to these so i just ran without. First impressions it feels just like a standard pad when stone cold, perfectly acceptable.
So i got onto some country roads and i actually couldnt believe how well the car was stopping, barely touch the pedal and you are stopping the car at considerable pace, press it further and you are going through the windscreen.
These are an absolutely fantastic fast road pad and i have no doubt they would be superb on track.
These pads are plain and simple brutal as ****. :) They arent noisy at all either.
10 out of 10, best £65 ive ever spent on brakes.
glad you like them buddy, remember where u got them from too :winkey:
Just watch the dust doesnt eat into the wheels as some people have reported this over on cs
Carnt wait to get mine fitted, they will only ever see track use though so im expecting great things.
Lets hope i can get them as cheap as this next time we do a group buy

One thing i have noticed about these pads... they rattle like ****.
For some reason they dont have the little spring bits on top to hold the pad still.
When going over any sort of bump or just generally driving along it seriously sounds like the wheel is going to fall off, its not detremental to performance and its not going to fall out, it just sounds bad.
So im looking to retrofit those clips of my old pads to them somehow.
Has anyone else found this?

dont know if fab has run his on the road yet ?
Can you hear me now? No? Thats how quite mine are :P
Laine, do as you said and try prise off the old clips from your old pads.

Had a crack at this today, i got the clips off but couldnt remove the riveted part so scratched my head to think what i could use as a substititute.
M5 bolts and nuts with some threadlock with the old clips, job done :)

^Nice fix on the clips
Went lighting up my tyres today with these bad boys  They are the dogs bolux alright . Will be pressing the pedal like a fairy when its wet though.
