after a decent enough 5.1 surround kit for my telly. i'm a bit of a geek when it comes to matching stuff so needs to be samsung

ideally only needs to be DVD, i have blu ray already, but i want wireless rear speakers, is there anything on the market that can forfill this dream without having to buy a million quids worth of adaptors etc for the rear speakers?

any advice/experience much appreciated.

budget is about 300 max i reckon

you know I was totally totally dissapointed with hime cinema the other day! I bought one after wanting one for ages and it was poo, paid £450 too!

Try before you buy, this was supposed to be a decent setup but my two channel seperates are just so much better, even if you don't get rear fill.

mine has wireless capability for rear speakers but you need to buy the wireless box etc to plug the rears into

in my experience the wireless ones arent exactly wireless. most need to be plugged into the mains.....so arent actually wireless even if they have the soundwaves sent wirelessly.

personally...id look into gettin a decent seperate hifi set up, many moons ago i had the yamaha dsp-e492, kef 80 centre, tannoy 633 profile+ mains, and used my old kef coda 7s as rears, coupled up to a rotel power, and 2 pre-amps mono'd for bi-amping, and an old teac valve amp

ran the tannoys bi-amped off the 2 rotel powers, and ran the centre off the dsp, and the teac valve amp to run the rears.

sounded immense....start of saving private ryan , and the pod race on star wars were beyond belief....and yes...the neighbours loved me shaking their window frames out hehe.

yamaha amps. i have one that is now 11 years old and still sounds the nuts.

spiked speakers with fine grain sand make a difference.

optical in is a must. as is dts.
