are they compatible with seats similar to the one in the pic ??
if so , i am assuming harnesses coming from the back go through
either side of the fixed headrest ?
will this cause some rubbing to the seat or is there an accessory
similar to harness pads that will prevent that from happening ?

:? Where'd you get them? the 1970's ?

I'd imagine using harnesses with that kinda of seat would be troublesom due to them always falling down the sides

I think you should keep looking.

To use harnesses with these would be unpractical

Those seats are definitely not suitable for use with harnesses. In an accident the belts would get pushed off your shoulders and you would not be restrained properly.

Ideally you want a seat with proper cutouts for the belts to pass through that are about shoulder level. Whilst these were predominantly found only in fixed racing buckets over the years the feature has crept into road car seats and you'd be able to pick up a cheap set of fully adjustable seats from a Subaru, Evo or something that have all the practicalities of a normal car seat but the necessary cutouts to use harnesses.

Need a set that ideally holds the straps apart. Don't want decapitating.
