Hi all,

This isn't about a Williams Clio but I'm hoping someone here will be able to help.

My girlfriend just bought an N-reg Mk1 Phase 2 Clio 1.2 'Oasis'. It only cost 400 notes, and it's a bit of a 'time-warp' car - having only done a genuine 40k in 15 years, a good detail was all that was needed to get it looking nearly new.

Anyway, she's not had it long and some bint in a 4x4 has backed into it. I've been looking round for bonnets in the same colour from scrappers, but the best I've been able to find is a Mk1 phase 3 bonnet.

What's needed to swap the bonnets over?
Obviously the headlights, are these a straight swap?
Are the wings the same?
What about the bumper?
Is the headlight wiring the same?

Thanks in advance,
Andrew

you'll need bonnet and lights at the least

bumper will make it look better, wings are the same

Cheers, any ideas about the headlight wiring? Are the connectors the same?

Cheers, but unless it's in colour code 963 'Brooklands Green' and about £25 (scrap yard price) then I'll have to pass :D.

Hi,

Just incase anyone else stumbles across this and wants the info:

Tried the headlight today (scrap yard let me try fitting one before buying) and the bolt holes match up, and all the electrical connectors do too.

The only thing that didn't, was the headlight levelling - which on our car seems to be some simple manual system (not sure how it works - cable?) but on the donor car, the headlight levelling was electric and the two weren't interchangeable unfortunately.

Ah well, it didn't cost anything to try!

Head light leveling it electric in ph3, and hydraulic in ph1/2's

the head lights will be fine

How often do you use the beam adjuster under the steering wheel????
