I saw that earlier, is it any good? I would have thought it would be a professional job to solder the new chip in, or is it simple?

Theres more to mapping than just adjusting the fuel + inejctione ct.
Plus you need the car on a RR with a wideband lambeda sensor in the exhaust (preferbly at the cat/manifold) to know if the car need more or less fuel.

Stan does his own maps iirc, cant remeber perfectly but i think he plumbs a laptop into the ECU and maps it accordingly after a drive around.

Bloke accross the road from my mate is well inot tuning his cars, has been for years, he does all re-mapping, will do a couple of hours on the rollers to get a base map, and then take it out on the road with you driving and him in the passneger seat wiht his laptop altering bits and pieces as you are driving along, apparently tyhe only proper way to get a decent map
you'll want to monitor EGT's aswell, practically as, if not more important than AFR.
