I have for sale a clio cup engine.
This is the 1.8L 16v engine from the original shape clio.

The engine has been prepared by HARLOW MOTORSPORT when being used in the cup series.

The engine was apparently removed from the car due noise from the bearings. With this in mind I have started to strip the engine and was also going to flow/polish the head.

The engine was to be installed in my Mk1 valver and used as a track day car but unfortunately financial situation has changed and the funds do not allow - clio has now been sold and the engine must go the same way.

I am looking for around £350.

Please feel free to contact me for any more information etc.

Engine is located in Dursley, Gloucestershire.

Thanks for looking

if its still in cup spec - it will be totally standard apart from being blueprinted

No probs, I shall sort out some pic's shortly.

As Mr Northy says performance wise it has just been blueprinted, The rocker cover has also been powder coated blue and has the Harlow Motorsport logo on it.

What gains does that give then, if any? Guessing it revs higher?

sorry but 350 for a 1.8 lump in need of a rebuild maybe a regrind..

cup engine werent anything special blueprinted is not worth anything in a road engine..

mild cams would give greater gains..

all parts are standard

Harlow were the team to beat back when these cars were racing.

If you had a Harlow engine in your car you either robbed it or lucky enough to race for them.

Whats the engine number on it please ???

Unfortunately I did not get to work for them and I can also say I don't make a habit of hanging around garages at night sporting a fetching balaclava.

I do not know the engine number off hand, I shall have a good look this weekend and let you know.

As to the price, as always with these things, there is room for negotiation, but I do believe that this engine is worth a bit more than the norm. It is not your average lump off of ebay that has been ripped out of a car with 100K on the clock.

I have had a look for the engine and/or build codes.

What I can see are the engine designation: F7Pe
and number 722 95052 C000272.

If these are not the numbers required please let me know where to look and I would be happy to.

Also sorry I haven't posted any pictures, Just found out that image shack etc are blocked from works interenet.

I have been able to put them up on piston heads, here is the link if people are interested:

Was there any difference between early and late etc engines?

Will take offers around £275 for the lump.

Also got a Naples driver door in need of some tlc - would be idea for delocking as some muppets had atempted to punch the lock out and ended up just making a hole. Comes with window but no door card
- £5 collected.
