If you were going to replace the suspension with new original parts which would you do first, if you were doing it in stages? (lack of funds)

Replacing which parts would make the most difference? why i ask is that the ride quality is awful at the moment.

Cheers

Replace the dampers first. Not too expensive and an easy job to do yourself.

See how it feels then. :D

i got brand new everything from Renault except 172 cup springs off here about 1000 miles ago and the change was ridiculous. Well well well worth doing IMO 8)

But I have a pair of NEW genuine RENAULT WILLIAMS front struts for sale, done about 25 miles   I used them to move my Rally car to and from the workshops.£90 or take offers for the pair.

have you done your track-rod ends yet? replacing these made the biggest single difference to the handling of my car!

Is there track rod end parts for the Williams or are they 16v ones?

I'd agree with Richy here, but I'd also consider the FULL track rods, not just the ends.

The difference between new and old track rod ball joints (you cant see them, they are hidden under the steering rack gaiters) is huge. Shit job to get 'em off though.
