See, I think that Williams is a nice car and fairly priced considering the spec.

The mini is JUST SO CUTE!!!! Are those like mini R888's?

Where are you based mate? What bhp is the Willy?

Also, I can see negative camber on the front of the Willy there...what have you used to dial that camber in?

The mini may look cute, but it is a little pocket rocket, when I switch the nos on it has 140bhp, with the weight of it just over 600 it equal 233bhp per ton. Without the nos it is around 170 per ton.

It run coilover set up and a beam axle, the tries are A32R which grip like hell.

I am based around 12 miles from Chester just in Noeth Wales.

The williams is running 190bhp. With print out.

The spec on the engine is.

A fully rebuild 2500 miles ago.

Fully gas flowed head, kent cams, pulleys, forged bottom end, gripper diff, chipped ecu, adjustable fuel regulator, and loads more.

It has been built for hill climbing so it tops out around 115mph. But the way is gets there is a really blast.

Set up of the car takes a with lot a doing a runs to get it right. but what is right for me may not be right for someone else. The mini took over 3 weeks off doing lots for runs to get it right. With the Williams depending which run and the type of road, depends on the set I would use.

I think the car was fairly priced, when you think it had over £11k spent on it over the last 5 years. All with repecits.

The full spec on the Williams is endless.

If I get chance I will do a detailed spec sheet on the car for you all to veiw.

Thanks for the comments on the car.

As said before we'll have to get a mini meet arranged when my car is back on the road (hopefully at the end of the month) I'm sure Jamie will be up for it too, he's not far from chester either

steve d

A mini meet up would be good. There are loads of great roads in North Wales,

The gripper did get a little bit of getting use to it. But have to say when you get the hang off it, it's bloody great. Loads of grip in the corners.

Steve bought it.

Yes I bought it, I have had it around 6 weeks now.

The guy that I bought it from was in his late 50s, he had the car for around 3 years, in the last 18 months of ownership he only did 1 events and the car covered miles just 130 miles.

The car come with a nice A4 folder full of histroy with it. All mot's receipts etc.

I have to agree about the lights, I keep looking at the lights and thinking, do I like them or don't I like them. Some days I look at them and that they look abit to much, then somedays I like the look of them.

As they are only lights which can be changed, what are people's veiw on the lights, it may help me make my mind up.

For the people that seen the car for sale, you will know price of the car, and think that for a clio it was alot of money. But the way I look at it is that, the whole car was rebuilt 2500 miles with all new parts, work started in 2005 by 2 old guys.

If you had to build a williams like they did, the cost would be a lot more then I paid for it.

To give you a quick example, just the front brakes cost £800 in parts. The head has a invoice for £1000, plus the kent cams and kent pulleys that is another £400, so just to cover the head, cams, pulleys and front brakes the cost is £2200. You have to allso think that the whole engine has been rebuilt with forged and balanced pistons, plus gearbox, diff, clutch etc etc.

I was looking for a road going track/sprint car, to use as a weekend toy and do a couple of events in. The big big bouns was that it came in a Williams.

The Morettes are an aquired taste,i had them on my hybrid, but as for a Williams i do agree that you should have standard light set-up but its your car,the rear afterburners are quite rare now so if theyre in good condition you should get a good price for them if you decide to sell.

Nice car though fella

I personnaly despise Morettes, bun then I've got black angel eyes on mine :?

The Gripper diff definitely takes some getting used to. After driving normal cars, it makes the way it gives feedback and its behaviour a bit alien, it can weight the steering up quite a bit, especially backing off throttle on a long bend....but when you are on it...the grip is really impressive.

Any under bonnet shots? Standard fuel pump or uprated?

That looks SO mint!

Just looking at the side profile and up close to the front end, looks very straight and paintwork looks unmarked. I appreciate that stuff :)

Id prefer it without the lights though, and what are the extra orange lights at the front?

great buy, great looking car, you should have lots of fun with that. It has been put together really well, like the detail in the finish, very nice and worth the money.

ps - lights look good, makes it look that bit different which it is.

Tell me, do you get a vibration noise at about 4.5k to 5k from the diff? I am trying to locate a noise and I also have the same LSD as you...

No I don't get any vibration noise at any of the revs.

Ok, thanks, I think I have solved my vibration issues now...exhaust manifold not bolted down properly on the bottom securing bolt and two loose jubilee's on the exhaust wrap rattling on metal.
