Just watched Robin Hood. Had much the same feeling as after watching Sherlock Homes. Watchable movies, both. But absolutely no respect to the original stories and characters.

How do you English folk feel about hollywood ripping apart 2 of the most beloved english heroes?

PS: What's a definitive Robin Hood movie to watch?

Also, Crowe does occasionally sound a bit Irish/Scottish/Welsh at the beginning of the show but, in most part, he just sound like Mel Gibson. Which parallels with Downey Jr's weird whispering accent in Holmes. But, after recently watching a blue Navi alien creature speak with an Australian accent; any english accent will do at the movies these days . :)
