a while back i mechanically fitted a 172 phase 1 cable throttle lump and box into my williams.

i spent this last weekend finishing off the wiring, having spent a few days investigating and after much head scratching i look for some specialist advice.

i'm fairly confident the usual f4r to mk1 loom conversion (as per F0xy notes) wiring is correct.

the ecu has been decoded and an emulator fitted, emulator is wired to pins 58, pin 33 and pin 66, fairly certain the ign power, earth and trigger wires are to the right pins.

i also checked the +12v constant and ignition wire feeds at the ecu and these seem fine.

gearbox to chassis, and the earth near the starter motor have been cleaned and are tight. earth pins checked on ecu to prove continuity.

swapped the fuel and fan relay with each other to no advantage.

given the fuse board and relay box and contacts a clean and wd40.

cps sensor reads 235 ohms, and outputs near enough 5v ac. Wires from sensor to ecu read ok.

i haven't wired the obd port up yet, but going to look into this next.

i haven't had a downpipe made up yet so the lambda is resting on the manifold.

crash switch is fitted and operational.

When ignition powers up, the fuel pumps primes and the coil pack gets 12v momentarily, and then again when cranking.

if i override the relay and give the fuel pump relay and coilpack 12v not a lot changes.

i suspect the ecu is not outputting as it should, are there any more critical sensors i should try or test?

is there a method to test the emulator output?

any other suggestions most gratefully recieved before i lose the will and weigh it in, so frustrating when i'm so close to finishing.

if anyone has a demobbed ecu they want to lend me or sell i'd be interested so i can rule that out, or know of a method to test my ecu.

Cheers

Ben
