The Kirmanator didn't like the look of the Teggy, and after much badgering from everyone he eventually went and drove one.
He now is the proud owner of a Championship White Teggy!
If you wouldn't mind a few more luxuries and don't like the look of the teg, how about an Accord Type R? 2.2, over 200 brake, amazing FWD chassis. Can get one for 6k easy.
Or how about a 328i E36 Sport? 192bhp versus 171 for 325i.
Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo? Fookin fast.
Will keep thinking :D
Personaly i would look to get either a scooby import (Aslong as your over 25)
Or Yes Integra Type R (white) amazing handling Looks superb IMO and never seem to have to change gear revs up to about 9k lol
Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo? Fookin fast.
8) Do it.

E35 Bmw is theone mate.
Either the 325 or 328. BHP wise there is only 1bhp between them at 192 & 193 but the torque is so much stronger in the 328. My choice deffinately.
watch out for mikasil engine lining problems on the 328, I was gonna get one before I bought the Willy but never found a decent one... :(
Buy my williams if you want. :D

Awesome cars mate. I had one :D . Could chew your ear off for ages talking about those :P

My choice would be a JDM Teg TR. Absolutely ****ing awesome cars in every way, but love to be thrashed all the time which I love (some find it tiresome).
You need to decide if its driving thrills or something thats quick without much driving involvement.
The only FWD car that I prefer to the Williams is the ITR. If driven properly, they are a fair bit quicker (especially around a track) and are so much stronger and better built.
Imprezas are good cars in their own right and probably just as quick, but you get nowhere near the thrills of a Willy or ITR.
only problem with 20v Turbo is they look shit!!!!

I was actually gonna buy one of these before I bought the willy, IMO I think they look cool, look like a mini Ferrari! Went to look at a red limited edition but the guy wanted too much for it :( Fast as fook, but don't like corners very much! So glad I bought the willy now tho....
eh!?
they look nothing like ferrari's!
blobby and lardy.
Handle like crud, brakes fade like nothing else...and the engine isnt a peach to look after or tune!
horrid cars.

Well that's your opinion, fair doos, personally I think they look like a mini 550 and were designed by Pinifirina, chief designer for Ferrari.
I also mentioned that the handling is poor, only bad thing about them in my eyes. Brakes can always be uprated (as can the suspension) and the engine doesn't need tuning they're fast enough.
but you got to admit they tryied as best as the could and failed misserably!!!!!!
Alfa GTV 3.0 hardtop
Are they within the budget?

lol, sorry...i just really dont like them.
Lag central and just a horrible drive, but they do sound nice inside, i'll give you that.
When i drove one, it just gave up and i came back in a smouldering smoking heap of burnt everything.
Scotte666;
Maybe you should look at it in terms of expanding your driving experience with different types of car. Roughly categorized into: NA, turbo, FWD, RWD and 4WD (anything else?). And as Mark_Ritchspeed said, with the Williams or ITR, you have experienced probably the best of production FWD capabilities. If that is the case, you should be looking into getting the best non-FWD that your budget allows.

whats peoples opinions on gti6's then . i would like 2 go look at a teggy but the closet 1 1 found 2 me is bout 50 miles away
gti6 will be a very nice car, but not very exciting after owning a williams

They're ok. We've got a Xsara VTS which is virtually the same car bar the gearbox and some chassis tweaks. Also driven a few 306s including the rallye.
Totally different beast though to a williams or teggy. Much softer IMO.

bit more comfortable though.not matter how much i loved my williams and liked driving it ,the ride was the most comfortable but it was made to be driven i had 2 put my foot down all the time ......im now thinking i want another 1 lol

what they like mate?how does it compare to the williams??why did u get rid?
You have PM. Got rid because I needed some cash and also fancied RWD. Got a cheap 325i Sport instead. Still miss the 306 now :(
This may help mate....

Oh and the breakdown issue? Come back if you've ever owned one... This is more reliable than my Williams and the Valver....
So

My dads colleague bought an Alfa 156 to replace his Coupe as it is more reliable, even though the Alfa has needed a new engine, 3 new gearboxes and 4 ECU's in 5 years lol.
He stopped driving the Fiat to anywhere more than 50 miles away so the recovery was cheaper.
See ya
Matt
 unlucky!
My baby is mint, well looked after and has had no problems - bar a manufacturing fault with the Pace rad it had fitted.
Every weekend almost its been doing 400 mile round trips. And a lot bloody comfier than the Williams...

kelly is that your fiat that is ****ing lovely.....how much did u pay?
clowo16v
28-07-2005, 17:04
He had his from new and it had FSH, low mileage and all that good stuff.
He part-ex'd it at a dealer for more than the normal value as on paper it was so good lol.
See ya
Matt
Scott - yea thats my baby :)
It's the plus model so comes with the different grille and sideskirts/bumper bits than a boggo coupe, and its slightly tuned (300bhp lol)
Leather, air con, climate control, 330mm discs and 4 pot brembo's and had 62k on the clock
I paid 8k for it. You can pick up a decent standard 20VT from the fiat owners club for half that, with higher mileage tho if you wanted one :)
I don't normally like the 20v but that looks lovely Kelly.
Wheres LucyLoo gone? Did we scare her off
lol nah, she doesn't have net access at work so only gets on sometimes in the evenings - i'm sure she'll be back soon  8)
Thats ok then.
Do you miss your williams?
Kell that is fookin mint
As I said before, I went to view one of them before I bought the Williams, a red Ltd Edition, had the same kit as yours, is that the 6 speeder?? The guy wanted 7.5k for her tho, a little out of my price range!
I'm sure peoples perceptions would change if they actually drove a decent one!!
Col
Kelly;
Can you take some pics of the car from different angles? And put up on the media section. It's much nicer looking than the Fiat Coupes I have seen. Maybe it's the colour and bodykit.
I have to say i think the 20v turbos are awesome cars . Was going to upgrade to one from my punto GT but didnt have enough for a mint example like yours kell . As for the "breaking down" all the time i think its a bit unfair . There are some horror stories about them but then again thats all you hear , never the owners who have no probs at all.
As far as looks go i personally like them , not very common either and i think they look like they are worth twice what they really are but each to their own i guess .
nice car kell 8)
steve.
Big hp - i do miss the Williams sometimes, but then I have a valver on the drive too :) One day when i have more money than I do now - i'll probably buy another one, but for weekend use only - couldn't go back to having one as my daily drive.
Tommo - yea it's the 6-speeder. I went to look at an LE too but decided I couldn't live with the red leather and flashes inside the car lol so went for the plus.
Purplesun - Yep no worries - she needs a good wash/wax this weekend if weather permits so I'll get some proper pics posted soon :D
Steve - cheers :)
ITR jdm version 200bhp come with lsd, air con, pas , all electrics etc
JDM ITR 8)
If i was going to get anothr FWD car next, thats the one i'd go for, without a doubt.
Also hondas have so much choice in tuning, supercharger + turbo kits are a bargain compared to tuning renaults, as they are mass produced in USA/jap etc.
oooooooooouuuuuuuuuuupppppppppssssssssss think i hit a nerve there did i Kelly??????
Not really a nerve cos it's obvoius you're a bit clueless

Excellent review pal :)
agreed but mate has just got one and to be honest just isnt my cup of tea
He asked alot of people and everybody said for the money look at a Williams or a 106 GTi Subaru Impreza Import sumit like that and then he turned up in a 20v and it just dosen't cut the mustard plus he has had to have a gear box already and has only owned it a month
But not knocking your one because to be honest doesnt look that bad but just not keen

GTi 6. ****ing ace, cheap as chips to buy and cheap as chips to run. Brilliant cars.
Incidently they were also styled by pininfarina. So according to Tommo they must look like a ferrari. lol.
Did pininfarina style the HDi aswell?

He he
The GTI 6 wasn't styled by Pininfarina, but the 306 convertable was, I reckon it's the double of an Enzo....
Altho sayin that the 406 coupe (also pininf) does look a bit like a 456, or maybe it's just me.... :)

The 306 convertible is absolutely stunning, probably one of the best hatchback to convertible conversions ever, better than that 206CC shite anyway.

No worries - but i've already owned a Williams and a 106 rallye and test drove a 306 rallye, a gti-6 and an Impreza wrx sti PPP - and the coupe i have was still quicker than the lot (including the scooby), looked the bollocks and is lots of fun :D I wouldn't have a standard one though.. only 220bhp and it's a heavy car
Each to their own :)
