Have been working flat out during the last couple of montsh to finish my car for the track day season.
This involved changing the rear beam.
I have had a "newish" rear beam in my garage for the last 6 years (came with i Clio Cup car i bought) - it looked great, no rust at all, healthy looking bushes - almost like new... I thought... :?

My question is:
In how many ways can one screw up the fitting of the ream beam?
I mean - its only four bolts!
Is it possible to misalign it? (i would not think so)

One wheel is pointing outwards - the other inwards.
Lower right shock absorber bolt hits the chassis.
There is a clear difference in the distance between arc and wheel.

Is it a bent rear beam or just my not being very good with a spanner.....?

is there any noticeable difference when you put them side by side?

i take it the one you changed out had the wheel alignment spot on?

anything to do with setup on the cup cars?

Hmmm.... Would not think so unless Cup cars are designed to crab along the track.... :D
All though there would be the benefit of the car being extra wide and difficult to pass...

The cup cars did have some "adjustments" to the rear beam even though it was not allowed in the rules. It looks like that’s what has happened although it does seem extreme!

One wheel is pointing inwards - the other is pointing outwards....
Toe values would shock the persons doing the tracking... :D

Are there no bushes that may be fooked?

Are there no bushes that may be fooked?

not to cause that, trailing arm bushes can wear out but that just causes knocking, unless the arms were literally hanging off
