megane has different inlet manifold ,inlet valves is bigger, no distibuter, other cams ( lower lift )

if you go for a megane head for the bigger valves, get willy cams if you dont want to get aftermarket ones as they are the wildest standard cams

Trouble with the coil pack is that you need either to use a full Megane ECU or aftermarket ECU OR machine it to use a dizzy.

Benefit is bigger valves and perhaps a better option for ITBS due to inlets.

you can machine the head for dizzy  Cost over here about 100 €

ah i see, did notice that the inlet ports where alot smaller than valver ones, did take the dis cap blank off the side to have a look, i guess to run a meg ecu you need to either try make a meg loom fit in clio bay, or cut off the ecu plug as i got a meg loom and the ecu pins are smaller, does any one know the part no for willy cams as you see alot on ebay, but most of time its people who assume willys and valvers are identical so they word spam the ad, but as im running a standard air box with itg fliter in it and decat'd mongoose system the bigger valves wont really benifit me unless im running round the 180 bhp ish mark?

Not really worth cutting looms up tbh. You need a megane loom, and throttle body and inlet plenum, ECU as well to make it work. Just use the valver head. Be MUCH easier to simply have it modded to 34mm valves than the headache of converting to a meg head.

sounds like a plan, willy cams dont fit a valver head iirc? got told it was something to do with the bearing seats or something

Willy cams fit valver head but there's little difference. Not really worth it IMHO. There is a problem with cam washer bearing size if you decide to fit valver cams in megane head. Not all cams directly fit. But nothing that couldn't be sorted with a bit of machining (which you would need for dizzy anyway if you plan to use it with clio loom).

Sorry to hijack but are the willy head inlets the same size as the valver or the meggy?

Could you run itbs on a willy head? What would be the disadvantage here?

Port openings on williams head are the same as valver, but port shape is a bit different. In both cases ports are waaaay too big. Renault realised that and fixed this on megane head. Problem is that mixture velocity in the port is muuch slower with bigger ports, hence smaller ports with higher velocity. Also coil packs give you better control and magane flywheel is more ECU mapping friendly with it's pattern.

You can fit ITB's on all heads. There's just a bit more potential to be found in megane head.
