Clutch

Hi i recently posted about my clutch cable. i've just fitted a new one as my old one snapped, the biting point use to be really low til it snapped but since i replaced it its messed up, first it just wouldnt go in gear asif the cable was too loose, now i tryed disconnecting it at the box and taking the stopper block off the reconecting and putting it back in.. since then its asif my clutch is too tight, its not biting til the las minute and when it does my clutch wont lift high enough to release it fully! any ideas? Thanks
