My Willy is ill again :-( Give me friggin' strength please!

Just when I thought 0041 was back in business....friggin' thing does it again to me!!! :-(((

Last time I took the Willy out it hesitated a couple of times on acceleration whilst leaving home but was then fine for the next 100 miles so I sort of ignored it and put it down to it being old and French.

Now it's just cut out and restarted ok but as soon as you rev it to 3500rpm it backs off to 3000 before climbing to 3500 and doing the same thing. If you try driving it, it cuts out at less revs because its under load I guess.

So I'm thinking this is a fuel supply problem? Fuel filter has been looked at and is fine. And I've run some injector cleaner through it too but still the same.

Any thoughts anyone? Fuel pump delivery perhaps? Or some crud in the injectors?? Any advice (or help in the Crewe area) would be appreciated....

Blocked exhaust perhaps.

Check the electrical connector at the fuel pump (under rear bench) is clean. I had some gunk on the contacts and had similar problems. I used a jeweler's screwdriver to scrap the contact clean.

Maybe check lambda also.

I had a similar problem a few months back and it ended up being the inside of the cat breaking down and stopping the gases from exiting properly.
