problems

having only had my clio 2 weeks i have a problem on saturday i was driving along when the engine started to misfire looking through the rear view mirror i could see nothing but smoke so i turned the engine off went back to the car 4 hours later and started it everything was fine for a minute or so then it started to miss again and more smoke ( was actually steam ) any ideas whats wrong ? cheers

Most likely your head gasket is the problem.

sounds like head gasket mate, check coolant for mayo and inside oil cap for same

i'm over in matlock, could always pop up if you need hand with diagnosis 8)

Did you see the temp gauge go way up as well?

Have to get head off, new gasket and headbolts for it...and worth doing cambelt and maybe pulleys at same time.

Temparature guage didn't move cambelt was only done 50 miles ago time to get tools out then :cry:
