clio 16v downpipe

have not seen one in flesh and i am assuming its the same
as a 19 16v one ?
the one i got of the 19 16v has a dent on one of the pipes
which seems to be matched on the heat shield that bolts on to it
and it does not appear to be artificial in any way . it obviously
reduces the diameter of the pipe at that point :(

is this the same on clio 16v downpipes or did reno done this
for clearence issues ?

looks to me like the engineer that designed it got it wrong
and rather than ditching the whole batch they smacked it
with a big hammer :?
