Not clio related obviously.

I have an Omega V6.

Its losing water, around a litre per month. Not much at all.

Would having the air con on continuously cause water useage?

Ive replaced the water pump.

Apparently the head gaskets do not go on the V6 vauxhall engines.

Ive been advised to check a diaphram behind bulkhead which apprently perish but was just curious about aircon question.

No they dont suffer with H/G as such, but any engine can suffer H/G fail at anytime. Its the oil coolers that fail on the V6. Check for milkyness on the dipstick. Air con wont have any bearing on the coolant system, totally seperate. Put some carboard under the car over night, you'll soon see if you have a leak or not, if it does show you have a leak your half way there.

Yes it does have mayo in the oil cap. Its a common occurance on vauxhall v6's.

I actually went to look at x4 of these cars before buying this one and they all had some mayo residue in the oil cap. I was put off by this on the first one I viewed after not being aware of this. Apparrently common if theyre subject to short runs.

No doubt the H/G vultures will no pounce after that comment!

But thanks for the A/C advice 8)

Concentrate on the dipstick rather than the oil cap, all the vauxhall range bar the diesels get a condensation build up for short runs, really common. Sus a leak if you can, just work out whether your loosing it or using it.
