Are they the same,do they use the same hydraulic piping etc please?

which pipework? believe stuff on the rack, solid pipes are same, but ones routing round engine bay are different randonly across cars, maybe phase based,not sure but i know theres a few different combo's of solid and flexi pipework from rack round to pump

Been offered a rack as i need parts for mine,but it seems the main pipe that runs to the powersteering pump is different??

should be able to just use your pipework on the car currently, connections to the rack itself are the same i'm pretty sure. so simply strip all the connecting pipework to the pump off the new rack and fit all the stuff you have on the car now

well alas you fail mate! in that case you need to get hold of the matching pipework for the new rack, remove your old stuff and put all the new stuff on the car

If one end connects to the rack and the other the pump does it matter about the in between set-up?

no doesnt matter, all have same pump and rack, and any matching pair of inbetween pipes should fit any car

thats my impression of it all anyway
