Hi! I'm looking to see if anyone knows the whereabouts of N29 WVJ, my old Williams 3. I sold it years ago and have missed it ever since, I'm considering getting back into the market for a Williams, and it would be interesting to see where she is.. I did see it on here a while ago for sale and I think it ended up in Ireland? Cheers! Mark

I sold it a couple of years back, went to Aberdeen if i remember correctly, I bought it off a lad called malbon on here, was pretty mint when i got it, had 89k on the clock, drove perfect, seemed to have a belter of an engine, only thing was it had a dent on the rear passenger side arch, which apparently happened the morning i went to collect the car, i now have my doubts though, reason being, the car seemed to have different coloured wing mirrors the rest or the car, this didn't bother me, as i new it had, had a respray and just presumed the mirrors had either been left lol, or replaced with the wrong coloured ones, i soon realised the car had been resprayed the wrong colour though!

I took it to my local bodyshop to get the rear arch sorted, but there was dozens of similar blue shades which it could have been, so we where a bit stuck, i left the car as it was, eventually the good old gearbox did its usual trick and let go, so i decided it was time to sell, i got a valver box off winston, and went to another bodyshop, well a friend of a friend, who colour matched the arch and resprayed it, took the car home, put it in the garage all waxed up, looked mint! took it out for a quick wash as someone was coming to view it a day later, and the arch had started bubbling slightly!

I was very pissed off at this point, but had no time to do anything about it, the lad came, and bought the car, never heard or seen anything of it since, i imagine the rust has set in well by now, and its either sat rotting away, whilst he scratches his head wondering what colour to respay it, as i did! or its been sold on again, shame really, was a good car, apart from the wrong colour!?

I also received a pm off someone on here, stating there where a few untruths in malbons advert, i have deleted the pm now and cant remember what they where, so i always wondered, did malbon also buy the car in good faith, prang it, go to get it repaired only to be find out the cars the wrong colour, and think **** it, i sell it on as mint, then come up with a story that it got pranged the morning i went to collect it? save him the hassle of sorting out the wrong colour issue.

the original add for the car is here:

So did you sell the car onto malbon, think his name could have been Paul? was it you who had it respayed? give me some info on it please

As i remember more things i'll post em up, i deleted most of my pics of it as they where shit, i still have pics of it when i bought it though

The PM you received a while back was from me! I've sinced changed email accounts and could not remember my old username...

When I bought it, it had had just one owner for 10 years, had 69k on the clock and was completely original. I was the second owner (the log book stated 3rd as the it was owned by a garage first?). I had it for about a year before some little s**ts decided to break into it for my £20 stereo, not through the glass of course, but using a crow bar to prise the door open. The door was ruined and also there was light damage to the inside frameword behind the door. I decided to just get the whole car resprayed as there was light bubbling on the arches and bootlid, and a few little dings here and there. So yeah, the bodyshop didn't get the shade quite right (and they forgot to spray the mirrors!). I had explained to them how important it was to get the colour right... gave them the proper renault code and all.. To be honest I only really noticed it was too dark a shade by comparing the mirrors and the door pillars to the new paint! They did however get the gold shade on the wheel refurbs perfect...

When I sold it to John with 84k it was cosmetically PERFECT. Not a scratch, stone chip, or blemish on the entire car. It had also recently been to hill power for a major cambelt service with their remapped chip installed. Like John said in one of his posts, there was a little play in the steering but this had always been the case and had never bothered me - the noise coming from the brakes that he mentioned had (honestly!) started about a day before!

Your right about the engine too, it was a gem. I religiously maintained it, oil and filter changes every 3k max, always warmed up etc etc. I've regretted selling it ever since I did so, I bought a Celica GT4 as I always wanted something with a turbo!

Looks like its a gonner for sure, such a shame really. Luckily I'm now in a position where the next one I buy will sit tucked up under a cover in a locked garage for sunny days only.. Got a 5 series for the daily driver! Looking for a proper mint 1 or 3 in the next few months!

Here's some pics of the car just before I sold it to John so you can see what it was like before he had it.... The 1st 3 are from when I bought it, before the respray.

my guess is its parked up in a cow shed somewhere in scotland, the lad who bought it off me, had another car, can't remember what it was, maybe an escort rs turbo or similar i think, so i recon he's stuck with that, and has parked the willy up and lost interest due to rust etc, probably see it on ebay one day with a tree growing through the sunroof!
