Ive heard normal engine oil is good for gearbox's, is this so?

read somewhere that dextron III auto gearbox oil is good, and lots cheaper!

Millers 75/90 is superb its not much different than stock stuff when cold but when its warmed up it does seem better. Plus if its anything like there gearbox oil for long life its well worth it.

i usually end up using Comma cos i can get it very cheaply from work

I've always used Comma stuff, as its apparantley good, and i'm going to start changing it every 2nd oil change (6000 miles) if the gearbox makes it to check for signs of brass etc that could show wear.

I have 25L of Motul 75W90, seems good stuff.

Also got 30L of Motul 300v 15W50 engine oil too.
