looking to re-cut the polished lip on my williams alloys on 0199 at some point as it needs new tyres anyway so while they're off i'll sort the corrosion out!

question is whats the best method?wet and dry down the grades to a polished finish i guess

but then how do i seal it? laquer? and if so how much of the wheel? just the lip area, mask off the paint, or overspray into the paintwork aswell to seal it?

any advice/tips experiences much appraciated

thanks

Ben

stick the wheel on the front ,lift the front end then run it in first gear
while you are holding the sandpaper against the lip . be reet :P

i would start with around 400 or 600 depending on any scratches etc
then work your way up to 1500-2000 grit for a whoretastic finishingsss .
there is a special clear coat to put over bare metal iirc , but its not cheap.

i would over spray on to the painted area for better sealing action .

nitromorse is the business! just slap it on go and have a cuppa and do some house work then come back hey presto. Use a wallpaper scraper or something to remove. 8)

if you dont want them nitromors'd then get them sandblasted.
