Looks great and I am sure it will be a worthwhile addition to the car!

Funnily enough I ordered a 13 row last night as well with braided hoses and a thermostat in the sandy plate.

Cant have the engine oil overheating on me at track days :)

Generally your engine bay looks in very good nic.

I took my cooler of the 5 because oil pressure dropped dramatically.

It dropped pressure? Hmmm.

What happens to the old oil cooler pipes?

col

Ive still got them, but i reckon the oil rad was one step too far, bare in mind im not running a 1400 which doesnt have oil squirters under the pistons as i do on the 1800........plus oil pumps are different on these two units.

Pressure relief valve,who knows!

What made you go for braided?

safety or bling i presume

a lad on CS had a rubber hose wear through while driving, dumped the oil and goosed the engine

Unless your going to do serious tracking etc, you wont get the benefit, you need to keep the oil up to its op temp or serious damage will ensue.

If its too hot same difference,so its horses for courses.

i just need mine to do cross country blats, odd track day an touring.itll be the same for my se7en when i decide on which style an make i want.

OOh! ive decided on which kit but Ill be going to stoneliegh to check it out.

"Aires Motorsport"......the one 8) ......any questions ?

have you had a thermostat in yours ? thats supposed to stop it from
overcooling as well as overheating unless you know something i dont ?

oil cooler is pretty much needed on all cars if you are tracking it .
and i guess a screw on blanking plug could be made to replace the thermostat for road use ,basicly cutting the cooler system out

I know what you are saying col but mine has a thermo switch, and remember I am a victim of overheating oil already at my last infamous track day. Dead engine. I don't want a repeat, plus I will be running a lot more power this time and probably driving like a complete spaz so it will make more heat.
