For those of you who have been following my woes in the "mechanical" section, you will know that the engine is back into 0425... here are the final set of pictures...

engine mated with gearbox waiting to go back in the car...

has to be seen to be believed, the car looks like its on delivery mileage when i was under the bonnet yesterday, very impressive

as said, if now it would only damn well start!!

That looks like new, you must have spent hours on it.

Did you replace the various bolts during the rebuild?

lots of time over the winter spent cleaning and painting...

some bolts are new, others cleaned and painted.... (it's amazing how some things come up after a good scrub!!)

BTW - a big thanks to Big Steve for all his help in the taking out and putting back in phases of operations!! :D

That looks great, how did you get on with the gearbox in the end, did you keep the original?

Look forward to seeing it this year at some point.

original gearbox was refurbished by a friend of Big Steve and put back on... car will be at at the usual shows again this year! :wink:

Good result keeping the original box, I've just been going through the same with my williams 2. All fun and games, fired it up last night since putting the engine and box back in, should have it back on the road in a week or so, can't wait!
