View Full Version : mocal oil cooler thermostat ?

anyone know at what temperature it opens ??
i assume ,to be able to fill the engine with oil i need
to warm up to that temp to allow the oil rad to fill then
top up again ?? :P

ayee butt .
fitted today , it was missing the rubber seal for the sandwich
plate . couple quid from ebay :P

Check before installation whether the thermostat works perfectly or not. A friend of mine installed the sandwich plate but the thermostat was always opened... so the (cold) oil first went into the cooler. The engine could not become warm and had a bad noise on high rpm and serious power loss... :(

dont need to heat it, just run engine with new oil, then top up as level drops, be reet :wink:
