anyone using a megane b/e ?
there seems to be a bit of a difference between the oil
level sensors
the one on the left is off my f7p engine , the one on the right is
of the meggy b/e

even though the f7p one is longer it still fits dont feel like to
bottom out or hit the sump . the question is will i have a false
reading if i use the f7p one ??
btw i know i can use the meggy plug and keep it all meggy
but dont want to do it if i can use the longer sensor .

ideas ??

You would have thought the readings would be off.

I'd stick with the meg sensor.

Mat.

depends where the reading comes from ?? top or the bottom ?
i know clio sensors read other stuff as well as level may be
thats the same on megane , causing the difference in length ?

which one does the clio 16v / williams sensor
look like mat ? (leccy plug fitment wise )

on a side note, the f7p sensor in your pic looks like a 2pin, is it off a r19?

the clio normally has a 3pin plug iirc as it has both level and temp combined, the megane f7r only has 2pin iirc as they dont display the oil temp, im fairly certain the sensor on my f7r 714 is only 2pin.

might be why theres such a difference in length

yes mate its off a 19 16v .
also true the meggy one has 2 pins also .

did you have to keep meggy sensor and swap to meggy
plug on yours ??

Think I kept my Willy one. The sensor that's spare is in the car.

my megane engine is sat in the garage as its my spare, still has its original sensor in, i run a williams sensor in the car but its also a williams b/e

tbh its something ive never compared on them but if i had the megane b/e in id run the clio sensor so you still get temp, level as you said can be done via the dipstick
