Hi all,
Just a quick 1. I have some play in the steering column on my willy 3, Its not in the steering rack as I have looked at this already. It is somewhere in the column.Does any1 know what it is likely to be and what it is like to sort out?

HI It will be the bottom joint of the column.

The rubber bush will have worn, options are to replace or weld the joint to the column. Common issue!

Some people will tell you ifs unsafe to weld them as it effects the ability to collapse in an accident. If it was suppose to be welded Renault would have done it. Personally I would buy a new one for piece of mind. If you do want a new one contact "cliorod" :wink:

The part that collapses is further up.
I have one from Reno that doesn't have the bush in it, only reason it's there is to reduce vibration feedback.
