u might not know but i have a vts at the mo and am looking for something to restore what do u guys think to this

RENAULT 5 GT Turbo, E reg.
Pearlescent White, 1 owner from new, only 70,000 miles, Tax and Tested, immobilizer, totally standard car, sunroof, e/w, alloys, stunning performance, very rare, excellent condition, drives like new, no timewasters. £1,650

got to admit - the boys & girls at the RTOC have some class cars.

But for that price - does it need restoring ?

As Northy said, does it need restoring? If it's as good as describe, it wouldn't need it. The only other thing to do would it then would be to start modding it, which would be a pity considering there are so few standard ones still around.

Yep as above looks like it's been well looked after so doubt u could class it as needing to be restored.

I want another red one.....Red 5's always put a smile on my face.

My 1st car was an F plate standard (down to the radio) red R5 Turbo....loved it...got no pics though.... :cry: .....Still have a copy of the Autotrader I sold it in.

If its as good as it sounds then go for it and just replace worn parts as winston said. Try to keep it standard as there are so few around now, which means you'll have your arm ripped off when you come to sell it.

yeah im genna call him tonight to see if i can go and view it, my best mate has just brough a mint escort rs turbo with 48k origanal miles, stripped it compleetly out last night a little rust bust its going in to have all the undernateh painted bare shell respray in and outside wheels referbed a company in harlow are taking the engine out to compleetly rebuild with all standard parts and the enterior goes away to be compleetly restored thats genna be one mint rs!

yeah everythings being replaced itl be one of the cleanest rs escorts in the counrty when its finished
